PeaceJam SLAM

For the first time since World War II, the number of refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced people worldwide exceeded 50 million people. In response, this year's Slam will explore issues of displacement, such as natural disasters, border crossings, and bullying, and will give youth tools to find place and in their own communities.

The Slam, entitled Exploring Displacement: Find Your Place, Find Your Voice, is a one-day youth conference that launches PeaceJam’s program year and unveils which Laureate will be joining us for the Spring conference. The day is packed with amazing speakers, interactive simulations, informative workshops, and small group sessions for students to learn about local and global issues and how they can get involved in solving them.

The Slam is open to all returning PeaceJammers, as well as those brand new to PeaceJam. This year, we are excited to welcome Middle and High School aged participants. The two will be divided by age for the family group breakouts and workshops.  To register, go here --->
